Today is another day!
I'm feeling good so far. I talked to the wife yesterday and her voice always does the trick. Not to mention that I finally finished my album. Yes it's finally done. I'm doing this pre order thing right now. My wife and I thinks it's a good idea; I hope it is. What do you guys think?
You know,
Everyday it seems the quality of music is getting worse and worse by the minute. My manager, Mr. Marcus, played for me some exclusive new music out for the sake of inspiration. Instead it was counter productive. What in the world has happened to music?
Sometimes...
I think I go a little too hard on this music thing. I always feel that if I'm not where I want to be then I shouldn't be taking time to chill. My wife had to remind me that at times you gotta step a away for a while and recharge your batteries. Anybody out there feel that way sometimes?-J Luna
It's hard being a Soldier and J Luna because...Manage being a musician and being a Soldier in Afghanistan or some combat zone. As of late I have been extremely stressed out about successfully promoting my music while accomplishing my day to day tasks. I worry about my family financially so again that's another stressor in my life. Don't get me wrong I'm not broke by any means, but my primary income is from the Army not music. I get nervous sometimes and especially now because I plan on getting out of the military in two years and I want to pursue my music full time. Can anyone relate to being in a job but really wanting to fulfill your dreams? Thoughts about the music of 2010
Lets share our thoughts on where we think the future of music will be.
marketing and promo
This is the section where us independent and major label artists can share tips and tricks to better promote your music
Is the industry even needed anymore?
The music industry is hurting financially worse than what we can imagine. So many artists have gotten tired of seeking them that they are marketing themselves and doing very well I might add. It is way more rewarding to reach success with no help AND keep the profits than deal with the headache of the mainstream. Plus I believe that there is more creative material coming from indies than majors.
Welcome to my blog
Basically I'd figured that in this time in my life I need to get my vision to the world. I've tried getting signed and have gotten close, but that time is over. There are many, many talented musicians out there that will never get a shot in the industry and that bothers me. I think it's about time that we put ourselves on and we create our own lane! Feel free to comment, gripe or whatever on this page:-)
