So many artists have gotten tired of seeking them that they are marketing themselves and doing very well I might add. It is way more rewarding to reach success with no help AND keep the profits than deal with the headache of the mainstream. Plus I believe that there is more creative material coming from indies than majors. I've tried getting signed and have gotten close, but that time is over. There are many, many talented musicians out there that will never get a shot in the industry and that bothers me.
